What is app-ads.txt?

An IAB Tech Lab standard (Authorized Sellers for Apps) that lets app publishers declare which ad networks and resellers may sell their ad inventory. Ad buyers check it before they bid; many networks won’t pay for unverified traffic.

Where do I put the app-ads.txt file?

At the root of the developer website listed in your App Store / Google Play page, e.g. https://studio.com/app-ads.txt. App TXT can host it for you: point that URL to your permanent link, or copy the file there.

What does a line in app-ads.txt look like?

Four comma-separated fields: the ad system domain, your account (publisher) ID, DIRECT or RESELLER, and an optional Certification Authority ID (TAG-ID), e.g. “google.com, pub-1234567890, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0”.

What is the difference between ads.txt and app-ads.txt?

ads.txt is for websites, app-ads.txt is for mobile and CTV apps. The format is the same; app-ads.txt lives on the developer website that the app store listing points to.

Why are lines missing from my app-ads.txt?

Ad networks add new reseller partners all the time. A copy made months ago silently loses demand: unlisted sellers can’t be verified, so buyers bid less or skip the inventory. The free check shows exactly which expected lines are missing.

Is App TXT free?

Yes: the check of any domain, the generator and hosting with up to 5 popular networks are free. Premium ($2.99 per month or $24.99 per year) adds every network, daily template updates and unlimited downloads.
