Create ads.txt / app-ads.txt in Ad Manager
Google Ad Manager shows which lines your inventory needs (“Declare authorized sellers” in Ad Manager help). You still publish the file on your own domain.
Steps
- In Ad Manager, find the ads.txt / app-ads.txt lines for your network (see “Declare authorized sellers” in Google Ad Manager help).
- Your Google line looks like: google.com, pub-XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, DIRECT, f08c47fec0942fa0 — or RESELLER if a partner manages the Ad Manager account.
- Add the lines of other demand partners you work with (open bidding, SDK networks, resellers).
- Publish ads.txt at the root of your website and app-ads.txt at the root of the developer website from your store listings.
- Watch Ad Manager’s reports for unauthorized-seller warnings after the next crawl.

DIRECT or RESELLER?
If you own the Ad Manager account, the line is DIRECT. If an agency or partner runs Ad Manager for you through their account, they give you a RESELLER line with their publisher ID.
FAQ
Does Ad Manager host app-ads.txt for me?
No — the file must be on your developer website. Ad Manager only tells you which lines to include.
